Yes, all of our sunglasses can get wet, however, we do recommend practising the following care tips to ensure your sunglasses remain in the best possible condition:
Hard Water - “Hard” water contains high levels of dissolved minerals, especially calcium and magnesium. Everyday examples include pool water and unfiltered water, such as sprinkler water. “Hard” water can be a nuisance to sunglasses wearers, as it leaves white spots on the lenses after drying. To avoid spotting, simply rinse the lenses with filtered (tap) water and wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth like the cleaning cloth included with your purchase.
Salt Water - All Maui Jim sunglasses are saltwater safe and corrosion-resistant. As with “hard” water, we suggest you follow the hard water instructions if the frames have been exposed to salt water.
