Are glass lenses better than plastic lenses?

What determines "better" lens material would depend on the type of activities for which the sunglasses will be used. For situations when optical clarity is most important, our SuperThin Glass lenses deliver the highest optical clarity of all our lens materials, with the added benefit of their natural tendency to resist scratches. As they are glass, they are less impact resistance in comparison to some of our other lens materials like, MauiBrilliant, so we do not recommend glass lenses for impact-prone activities. MauiBrilliant lens is almost as clear as glass and is 1/3rd lighter than our SuperThin Glass. They do scratch easier than glass, but as mentioned above they are more impact resistant!

Regardless of lens material, of our sunglasses are equipped with PolarizedPlus2 lens technology, which provide all the same benefits, removing glare, enhancing color, protecting from harmful UV, and beneficial lens treatments.
